Arise Light Foundation

Welcome to Arise Light Foundation, a registered non-profit since 2020, devoted to empowering lives and igniting transformation within communities.

Our Projects

Our vision, “Creating Opportunities to Arise to a New Life,” encapsulates our mission to build a brighter future through cohesive and impactful initiatives. We do this by investing in and equipping communities to improve the lives of adults, youth, and children. Our focus is poverty relief, early childhood development and community upliftment. Take a look at our flagship initiatives:

Beauty for Ashes - Recycling Swop-Shop

The Beauty for Ashes Swop-Shop is a wonderful opportunity for community to come together and enhance their immediate environment. By bringing in recyclables such as plastic, cans, and paper, individuals earn “Ash Cash” tokens, allowing them to shop for essential items in the swop-shop.

This initiative not only promotes environmental cleanliness but also provides much-needed necessities for households, restoring dignity and a sense of purpose. Any surplus vegetable benefit our Soup Kitchen, completing the cycle of giving back to the community.

Future Farmers

Arise Light Foundation is joining hands with the Farm in a Bag initiative, empowering households to grow a variety of crops. By providing seeds, tools, and compost, we enable communities to elevate their quality of life and acquire essential life skills.

This collaborative effort not only encourages sustainable farming but also offers opportunities to generate income by selling the produce.

Harvest Market

Through collaboration with the Harvest Market, as we believe it will be a mutually enriching partnership for both our initiatives and wider community.

The Harvest Market offers a listing platform for us to spotlight our projects, increasing awareness, and garner support for our causes.

Sopkombuis

Prioritising the health and well-being of our community’s children. We operate a daily soup kitchen, providing highly nutritious porridge and meals to 100 children. Our goal is to enhance their growth, brain function, and overall health.
